So! DKs are getting pretty hefty nerfs in the 3.1 patch. Howling Blast is moving to the 51-pt slot (sigh) which means I'll have to switch back to a 2-hander (right after I got that awesome mace, too. Sigh.) Patch notes for 3.1 can be found at

Highlights include max level blacksmithing (!), tailoring, leatherworking, etc recipes, that all require the new "Runed Orbs". Which are the equivalent to the Nether Vortex. And for Isalia in particular:
